Pay for hosting. Pay for a domain. Sure. But pay for design?
Let's get one thing clear. Nobody looks at a flashy website and says, "That's such slick design, I'm definitely going to buy their products!" (Okay, maybe web designers occasionally say that...)
The truth is, web design has very little to do with actual results.
Need proof? Check out Chemex Coffee. The typography is tiny and hard to read, and the user interface is cluttered—where are you supposed to go?
Successful business is 100% about solving problems for people.
You don't want your site to scare customers away, sure. There is a place for design, and we take that place very seriously. We like design. In fact we've done web design for all of our customers.
A baseline of good graphic and user-experience design can signal trust to visitors, letting them know you are a real business, and you take your job seriously.
But we have come to learn that people do not pick up the phone or click the checkout button because of fancy Javascript and HTML5.
Customers do not care what Wordpress theme you are using. All they care about is fixing the problem that led them to your site in the first place.
Every website we have designed has brought in customers, but that is mostly due to the fact that the business behind the website offered exceptional services.
Every business needs a website—that's how customers find you. But do you need to drop all your money on a site before it even generates a single lead?
We don't think so, and that's why we waive all of the design fees.
It's not uncommon for a digital marketing agency to charge around $1000 per page for a website.
$3000 for a complete website is not a bad price.
From the agency's perspective this price tag makes perfect sense. After all, it takes a lot of time—days!—to design a new website from scratch.
Most agencies don't advertise their prices, because there is no telling how long a website will really take to make at the end of the day—it all depends.
You don't have to listen to me, obviously. Do whatever you want. But the problem with paying a hefty price for web design is that it reflects the wrong priorities.
There are multiple billions of great-looking websites out there.
What makes you think your new flashy one is going to stand out in ANY way?
Design will not make you stand out.
Branding will.
Quality will.
Authority will.
Don't focus on web design, focus on giving users a way to get in touch with you and solve their problems.
Your website design does not solve a problem for them.
As long as the design isn't so bad that it creates a new problem for you, then it is a working design, and a working design means more business for you.
A website needs to be there to generate traffic. Yes, you still need a website.
Traffic comes from relevant content.
Once you have traffic, you need to set up a mechanism for controlling that traffic in some way, such as subscribing to a messenger bot, or adding them to an email list.
This opt-in audience is where your real business opportunity is waiting.
Do you want a website? Don't pay for frills.
We charge monthly for all of the complicated background stuff (hosting, a domain, business email, regularly updating software, fixing bugs that pop up from regular software updates, etc.).
But your business website comes with no upfront cost.
When you team up with us, you are getting a marketing agency to run all of the back-end, complicated software, and troubleshooting for your website.
You get free design, free setup, and two awesome new team members 100% committed to over-delivering so you can succeed.
Need a more advanced website? We'll get the complex back-end software in place
That's why we don't require an up-front investment. When you work with us, you are paying for our services, but the website is free.
You can stop service at any time. If you want to take the website with you, it's yours. If you haven't been with us for long, then you can buy out the remainder of what you would have paid for it.
And there is no risk—You don't pay for the first month until the website is ready!
